Phoebe “Can I watch telly?”
Me “Ok but just one programme before bathtime”
Phoebe “Five programmes?”
Me “No. One programme?”
Phoebe “Four programmes?
Me “Good negotiating but no. One programme.”
Phoebe “Aaaargh!”
Me “Look at the clock. It’s nearly bathtime. The little hand is pointing to the six and the big hand to the top so it’s 6 o’clock”
Phoebe “So I can watch six programmes?”
